OAK HILL -- James France Jr., 71, of Oak Hill, who retired from the Army, died Friday at Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach.
Mr. France, a veteran of the Korean War, was born in Pikeville, Ky., and came to this area in 1974 from Suwannee. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 17, New Smyrna Beach.
Survivors include two sons, Andy and Danny, both of Arizona; a daughter, Barbara France, New Orleans; three brothers, Victor, New Smyrna Beach, George, Bristol, Va., and Temes, Toledo, Ohio; and three sisters, Ceotella France, Bristol, JinieViee Gear, Anderson, S.C., and Thelma Vestula, Toledo. Baldwin Brothers, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.
