KENNETH LEON BANGS "Ken", age 93, longtime resident of Worthington, died May 15, 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Veteran U.S. Army Air Corps, WWII. Preceded in death by his wife Ada D. Survived by his children, Pat (Roger) Spreen, Larry Bangs, Roger (Beth) Bangs of W. Lafayette, Ind, Suzanne (Korhan) Sevenler of Fairport, NY; grandchildren; sister, Una Joyce of Ft. Wayne, Ind.

Member of Worthington United Methodist Church, Founding Member and Past President of Worthington Lions Club and Past President of Worthington Chamber of Commerce.

Ken and his WWII bride, Ada, of Manchester, England, enjoyed 60 years of marriage, during which they enjoyed their family. Ken owned two Dairy Queen franchises and became a mentor to the many young students he employed over 30 plus years. During his retirement he enjoyed traveling with Ada, friends and family throughout the US and abroad. After retirement, he took up golf but probably enjoyed the camaraderie of his golf partners more.
