Bonnie Sue Hicks Carter, 56, of Carrollton, Ky., died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 10, 1945, in Carrollton, the daughter of James and Anna Marie O'Conner Hicks. She was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Community Church.
Surviving are her husband, Cecil Carter; seven sons, James Warren Mattingly, Chris Mattingly, Reuben Mattingly, Charles Joseph Carter, Jacob Carter, Jason Carter and George Rodney Carter, all of Carrollton; six daughters, Angela Shields of Ghent, Ky., Elenor Carrado, Elizabeth Overstreet, Rebecca Carter, Patricia Carter and Rachel Carter, all of Carrollton; two stepsons, Paul E. Edwards, Madison, and Cecil Carter Jr., Dallas, Texas; two stepdaughters, Sally Carter and Wanda Copeland, both of Madison; four brothers, Raymond, Jack and Richard Hicks, all of Carrollton, and Bennie Hicks of Owenton, Ky.; two sisters, Elizabeth Martin of Paris Crossing and Sharon Riley of Carrollton; and 24 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jim and George Hicks; and two sisters, Barbara and Rita.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton, with burial in the Carrollton IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
