John Herman Ohrendorff was born on 14th April 1712 in Siefen,Germany the son of Egbert Ohrendorff ("Ohrendorff Family", Camilla Borgon; Col. Arthur S. Cunningham).
John was born 2nd April 1780 and died on the 25th of November 1849 he married Elizabeth___? Born 6th July 1788 , died 20th September 1850 both buried in Taneytown Catholic Cemetery, Carroll County, Maryland.
John's daughter Lydia born 1812/13 died 13th May 1871 who married Samuel Horner/Harner born. 1807/10 died 13th May 1867 son of Friedrich and Catharine Horner (Samuel is also buried at this cemetery). ("Names in Stone", J.M. Holdcraft, Ann Arbor Michigan, 1966, Volume 1, page 1293).
Analysis of partial Census reports show that he resided in Mt. Joy Township, Adams County in 1810 and moved to Taneytown area between 1810-1849.
