MATTOON - Doris Pauline White, 78, of Mattoon, passed away at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Kindred Hospital in Springfield. Funeral services honoring her life will be at the Schilling Funeral Home, 1301 Charleston Ave. at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 with Reverend Travis Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Dodge Grove Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Doris was born on January 6, 1933 in Charleston the daughter of Leo and Rosa (Adams) Cutright. She married Ralph White on December 19, 1958. He preceded her on December 1, 2008. Survivors include her two sons, Robert E. Gray Sr. and wife Debbie; Danny R. White Sr. and wife Jeri; daughter, Paula K. Dyer all of Mattoon and special friend, Vernon Morris of Charleston; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; three sisters, Bessie Waltrup of Mattoon; Pearl Cox of Haysville, Kansas; Peggy Daniels of Camargo; one brother, Jerry Cutright and wife Lorene of Charleston. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 50 years, Ralph White, two sons Ralph Allen and Roger "Bud" Gray; granddaughter, Amy Michell Gray; great grandson, Xander Gray; three brothers, Russell; her twin brother Paul and John Cutright. Doris started working for Brown Shoe Company then later worked 8 years for the Holiday Inn in Mattoon. She was a housewife and a very loving person. She will be very much missed by all who knew her. Memorial donations are suggested to her family.
