Larry Lee Crosley, 69, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 after suffering several strokes following surgery. He was born February 9,1942 in Muncie, Indiana but spent most of his life in California and Arizona. He enjoyed many years of his career in the car business but retiredfrom the Golden Nugget in Laughlin in 2004 where he worked in the dispatch engineering department and as a slot floor man. Larry was well known for his many stories and jokes and always had a new one to tell. He was always an automobile enthusiast: he loved cars. Hehad hundreds of them and the last one was a silver 2011 Mustang. Actually, Larry loved anything with wheels; drag racing, motorcycle racing, F1, Indy cars, NASCAR, etc. If it went fast he loved it. As a young man he did his share of racing and lived to tell stories about it. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Lee B. Crosley and his son Scott Eric Crosley. He is survived by his wife and best friend Kathy, his mother Betty Crosley, his brother Byron Crosley (wife Valerie), his amazing daughter Lori Thill (husband Kevin) of Scottsdale, AZ, and four grandchildren Ryan, Kelsie, Becca and Briana. Larry was a kind, gentle man whose strength was amazing when he needed it. He and Kathy were married 19 years and went on many adventures together. Nothing was better than jumping on his Gold Wing and heading off for anywhere the mood dictated. Once, when he'd bought a new car, he decided watching the sun rise at the Grand Canyon would be fun, so he and Kathy jumped in the car at 10:00 pm and accomp;ished that goal. When his children were young, he loved camping, motorcycling, and enjoyed many terrific adventures with them. Larry worked hard but he knew how to play hard too. He enjoyed spending many hours playing with and feeding treats to his 2 Shis Tzus. Scooter and Deuce. He will be missed by all who knew him. There will be no funeral for Larry but we will celebrate his life with a fine Irish wake where we can tell his jokes and share stories.
