FLEURY KEITH, son of PHINEAS KEITH and LEVINA SALISBURY, was born June 4, 1785 in Smithfield, Rhode Island. FLEURY KEITH and his brothers and sisters came from Rhode Island to Jefferson County with their parents after the family lived for a time in Pittstown, Albany County, New York, where the family is documented in the census, and possibly for a short time in Skaneateles. FLEURY KEITH died September 17, 1850 in Brownville, Jefferson County, New York.
He married PAMELIA STAPLES on January 3, 1808. She was born on April 24, 1786 in Massachusetts to parents ISAAC STAPLES and ESTHER BENSON, and died March 14, 1867 in Brownville, Jefferson County, New York. FLEURY KEITH served as an Assemblyman to the State of New York Legislature for three terms during the years 1829, 1831, and 1848.

LEVINA SALISBURY KEITH was born October 15, 1815 and died May 1844. She married CHARLES P. PLUMB.

HARRIET HELEN KEITH was born December 29, 1817 in Jefferson County, New York, and died December 14, 1895 in Cape Vincent, Jefferson County, New York. She married first JOHN KEELER ADAMS and second WILLIAM ESTES.

MARY MCNEIL KEITH was born November 11, 1819 in Jefferson County, New York, and died February 2, 1850. She married HARRISON COLE.

FLEURY FAYETTE KEITH was born October 10, 1821, and died in 1899 in San Jose, California. He married ELIZABETH COLLINS. He went to California in 1850 during the Gold Rush. He later lived in Terre Haute, Indiana, working as a grain broker, and finally returned to California where he owned fruit orchards. His record of his overland journey to California in the Gold Rush can be found transcribed and also scanned online in The Brigham Young University, Harold B. Lee Library collection "Trails of Hope: Overland Diaries and Letters, 1849-1867"

MINERVA EVALINE KEITH was born August 3, 1825 in Jefferson County, New York, and died August 29, 1887 in Keeler, Van Buren County, Michigan. She married GEORGE BARTHOLOMEW.

RUFUS WILLARD KEITH was born November 23, 1827 in Henderson, Jefferson County, New York. He married RUBY LEAVITT who was born June 5, 1830 in Salisbury, Herkimer County, New York. He died November 8, 1911 in Lafargeville, Jefferson County, New York. RUFUS WILLARD KEITH remained on the family farm originally owned by his father FLEURY KEITH for many years
