Lloyd Jones died on August 26, 1981 in the Community hospital in Elk City at the age of 89. He was born in Hancock County, Tennessee, on March 6, 1893. He came to Oklahoma in 1910. He married Mary"Bobbie" Lawson in Hammon on October 14, 1914. Except for two years in California, he had lived in Oklahoma. He moved to Elk City in 1949. He is survived by his wife Mary Jones, two sons, Willis of Sacramento, California, and Fred Jones of Moore, three daughters, Marie Clark of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Ruth Tiesch of Truth or Consequence, New Mexico, and Ada Boyer of Dallas, Texas; 19 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City.
