Final rites were observed at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon for C.H. Mayo, well known Greenville citizen, who passed away Saturday at his home, 2612 Bourland street after an illness of several months. Services were held at the First Baptist church, with the pastor, Dr. C.B. Jackson and the Rev. Weldon Drake officiating, followed by burial in the Old Concord cemetery at Jacobia.
Pallbearers were W.O. Echols, Ira Coles, Dick Hollingsworth, Carl Jacobs, Henry Jacobs and T.R. Gerber. Honorary pallbearers were J.O. Kilman, Jim Cody, Adolph Cody, George Lane, Wilburn Lane, Charlie Lane, Willie Lane and Eleazor Lane.
