Oma Irene Osborne, age 82 of Raven, Virginia, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 at her home. Born August 21, 1929 in Buchanan County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Ed and Amanda Stillwell Osborne. She worked for several years at New Garden Company Store and retired as a nursing assistant from Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, Virginia. She was of the Holiness faith and was a member of Full Gospel Temple Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Sally Osborne, Tiltie Osborne and Maggie Breedlove; half-sisters, Brassie Webb, Macie Horton, Rosie Davis and Mamie Messick; and half-brothers, Square Stillwell, Charlie Stillwell and Artemis Stillwell. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Virginia with Rev. Eddie Hess officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be friends and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff, Virginia.
