B. Margaret Shafer, 91, of Columbus, died Thursday, December 1, 2011, at 1:05 a.m. at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Margaret was a retired, self-employed beautician in Indianapolis and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.
She was a graduate of Margarita School of Beauty College and Royal School of Beauty College.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Family and friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fireman's Cheer Fund.

Margaret was born in Indianapolis, October 18, 1920, the daughter of Samuel B. and Ethel Bishop Keller.
She married Robert W. Shafer May 10, 1947.
Survivors include her sister, Hazel Keller of Columbus; a cousin, a niece, a nephew and caregivers, Gene, Betty, Cheri, Anthony, Reta, Sandy, Cordel and Jack.
She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel B. Keller; her mother, Ethel Prestwood; her husband, Robert W. Shafer, on November 1, 1994; and a brother, William J. Keller.
