Emma first partnered or married a Mr. ? Carpenter about 1877. The family oral history says her husband links Emma's descendants to the movie star Jean Harlow.
Mr Carpenter is thought to be one of the male offsprings (sons or grandsons) of Michael Carpenter (b.1808, d.1892) and Mary J. Boor (b.1811, d.1891) who are buried in the Oakford/Glen Carpenter Farm in Hyndman, Bedford Co., PA
Emma opened a bakery called "Baker Bros" between 1921 & 1927. At the time of her death in 1961 she was the wife of a Mr. Fox.
She is buried by the side of her son Roy Earl Carpenter. Research continues to find out more about Mr. Carpenter and Mr. (perhaps Henry) Fox.
