Born in Jersey City, he was a son of Alphonsus V. and Eunice Riedyk Giordano. He had formerly resided in Scotch Plains. Mr. Giordano died at home, Clinton Township.

He was a building contractor. He was an avid Harley-Davidson rider and owner and an antique car enthusiast.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Sally Ann Nicholson Giordano; two sons, Joshua and Jordan Giordano of Clinton Township; a daughter, Johanna Giordano of Clinton Township; a sister, Anita Perrucci of Watchung; and two brothers, Joseph Giordano of Washington and Robert Giordano of Clinton Township.
