Living a blessed life, our beautiful mother Betty Lou (McKee) Benedetti left this world on Tuesday evening, November 29th, 2011 in the arms of her granddaughter "Misty Michelle" and attending CNAs with her angel dog Maggie by her side. Mom is free from suffering and is now in the arms of her Lord enjoying a marvelous reunion with loved ones.

Our precious mother was born to Anna Margaret Lovell and Robert Clayton McKee at her grandparent's home in Williams, Oregon on December 28, 1922. Mom was raised at the family ranch in Buckskin, Idaho where she learned values, ethics, and responsibility caring for animals and hard work in the fields. She was known as the best yodeler and cow milker in the valley and she will now race through the hills of heaven with her pony, Tracy. Mom was honored to reign as Rodeo Queen, and best Barrel Racer, winning roller skating, dancing contests, and horse races. She sang and played the drums in an all-girl orchestra. She also was talented in playing the violin, harmonica, and accordion and joined family and friends in many hours of musical memories.

Mother graduated from Inkom High School, Steven Henniger Business College in Salt Lake City, and from the "University of Life" just a month short of 89 years.

Mom worked as a roller skating car hop at Fred and Kellys, a secretary in the Army during World War II, and years at Mountain Bell, but relinquished this career for the crown of full-time mother, wife, and homemaker, artist, and poet.

She married her true love Rico, and they danced through life together until Dad was called to Heaven after 58 years of memories, raising five children.

She is survived by daughters, Diana (Carlos) Martinez and Janet Carter and sons Colin "Ric" (JoAnn) Vince (Dolores) and Rodney (Teri); grandchildren, Michelle "Misty", Brooke, Brandon, Cory, Nick, Mikael, Christopher, Joey and Bonnie; great-grandchildren, Dayna Randy, Virginia, Cloe, Ciarra, Johnny, Madisen, Tiffani, Brittney and Tyler; great great grandchildren; Austin, Gianna, and Isabella Grace. She is also survived by her sister Annabell Orchard and brother Robert Samuel McKee. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna; father, Clayton; sister, Genevieve Miller, three infant siblings and husband Americo "Rico".

Goodbye, precious mother, grandmother, and friend, until our next Hello!

With deepest gratitude, we thank all of the CNAs, nurses, and caregivers who loved our mom through this journey.

A viewing will be held from 11:30-1:00 on Tuesday, December 6th services beginning at 1:00 p.m. both at Downard Funeral Home, 241 North Garfield Ave., Pocatello, Idaho (208) 233-0686. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery following services.
