Theodor Beckman(n) immigrated from German at the age of 29 aboard the ship Elder headed to New York. His wife Louise age 24, son Otto age 2 and daughter Martha, six months all arrived on August 16, 1884.
From the census records from 1900, 1905 and 1910. Theodor and his family was living in Bear Creek, Wi. Theodore with an 'E' as his name was later used, was born in Nov. of 1854 in Germany. His wife, Louise Henrietta (Roll) was born in Dec. of 1858 in Germany. She had six children with four living. Their daughter, Martha was born in Germany in Jan. of 1884. Son Walter Earnest was also born in Germany in Jan. of 1888 . Son Arthur Theodore was born in Wisconsin on April 21, 1896. There is notation of a son named Paul, but I have no more information on him at this time.
In 1929, he was living at 238 Dorr Street in Antigo, Wisconsin. By 1930, Theodore was 76 years old and widowed living with his son Arthur, his daughter-in-law Ruth, and grandchildren; George, Norma and Dorothy in Ashland, Wisconsin.
