Wabash County Deed Record Book G, page 240, recorded in April 1864 states that William S. Baird, and Isaac N. Moore, George W. Armstrong, Sylvester L. Hill, were trustees of the Christian Church at Lick Prairie, NE 1/4, SE1/4, Sec. 36, T1N, R14W, which is a site 4.5 miles south of present location of the congregation, and is immediately south of the 80 acres held by Adam Baird. Records of the Estate of William S. Baird, Box #8, Wabash County Courthouse. His brother, Adam Q. Baird was the administrator of the estate.
