Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Mary "Mickie" Adams, age 74, who died Saturday at the Country Manor. Burial will be in the Sts. Peter & Paul Parish Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish Prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mickie was born in Richmond, MN to Ben and Elisabeth (Reitmeier) Thyen. She married Floyd Adams on June 25, 1955. Mickie worked at Fingerhut for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing cards. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Parish and Catholic United Financial. Survivors include her children, Sandi (Scott) Maselter, David "Corky", Lisa (Todd Woodstrom), Lori (Ken) Smith, Barbie (Jim Holt); brothers and sisters, Leroy (Angie) Thyen, Roger (Aggie) Thyen, Wally (Darlene) Thyen, Donna (Bob) Backes, Doris (Flip) Kalthoff; 11 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd (October 26, 1974); parents and, father and mother in law, Ted and Veronica Adams.
