Curtis Lamar Bragg - SAVANNAH - Curtis Lamar Bragg died December 3, 2011 at the age of 61. A native of Savannah, he was a graduate of Savannah High School and St. Leo College. Mr. Bragg was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He retired after 34 years service with the US Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District. Volunteering for deployment in the Corps' Overseas Contingency Operations, Mr. Bragg received Commander's Awards for outstanding service in Iraq and in Afghanistan where he served as Lead Office Engineer District - South. He was a past president of the German Friendly Society, a member of the Wilmington Island Club, the Marine Corps League, the National Chapter of the American Legion and St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife Jane Martin Bragg, son Mason Lamar Bragg, daughter-in-law Ashley Connor Bragg, daughter Caroline Bragg Brennan, son-in-law John Read Brennan, grandsons John Read Brennan, Jr., Thomas Martin Brennan and granddaughter Natalie Lorraine Bragg. He is also survived by his mother, Sadie Long Bragg, sisters Arnoldine Whitmore, Armelia Snyder, and brother Randall Bragg. He was predeceased by his father Arnold Lamar Bragg and brother Wendell. Visitation: 5:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 5, 2011 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Peter J. Hartmann officiating. Burial: Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Charles C. Martin, Jr., Harry D. Oliver III, Henry R. Richmond, Jeremy Glen Summerell, George Albert Tyson and Jason Cyrus Utley.
