she married to John C. Armstrong. In 1858 they moved to Leroy, Ill where John died on January 6, 1888. To them were born five children, four boys and one girl. All but one of whom are living. In 1895 Mary moved to Iowa and made her home with her daughter Mrs. E. P. Hamilton, near Leon. She died Feb. 13, 1901 after an illness of about 10 days with paralysis. She was a member of the M.E. church and had lived a christian life. Funeral services were held at home Thursday Feb. 14, conducted by Rev. J.Q.
