Joseph William Hemmer passed away Monday morning, July 27, at the Toole County Memorial hospital in Shelby. He became ill quite suddenly while attending the Marias fair and was taken to the hospital.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's church in Chester, Friday morning at 10 a.m, Rosary in Chester at 7:30 p.m., Thursday with Father Timothy Werner officiating. Burial will be at Lothair.

Joseph William Hemmer was born November ll, 1920, in Lothair, Montana. He attended grade school in Lothair and high school in Whitefish and Galata. He graduated from the Chester high school with the class of 1941.

He is survived by his father, Matt Hemmer, of Hot Springs, and brothers, Frank, John, Lawrence, and Gerald of Lothair, Lt. George Hemmer of Kelly Field, Texas, Lt. James Hemmer with the Armed Services in Germany, and Charles Hemmer of Shelby, and a twin sister, Mrs. Robert McCann of Billings.
