"Eva Etalia Ellis David, daughter of Frank and Belle Ellis, was born on Octboer 22, 1887, near Big Springs, Missouri, and departed this life on May 22, 1950. at 1:00 pm at the age of 63 years, seven months at her home near Bluffton, Missouri. On May 21, 1925, she was married to Robert David, and they made their home on a farm until her departure. To this union three children were born: Marcellus Earl David, of Bluffton; Mellia (now Mrs. Purl Timmerberg) also of Bluffton; and Vern Robert David, who preceded her in death March 1942. One brother, Calva Ellis preceded her in death and Alvious and Frances died in infancy.
She leave to mourn her departure her husband and two children, one son-in-law; on daughter-in-law; one brother, Claude M. Ellis, of Omaha, Nebraska; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. T. Dismuke at the Bethany Baptist Church on Wednesday afternoon, May 24th, at 2:00 o'clock. Interment followed in the Baptist Cemetery."
