Solomon Brown in 1839 married Esther Stuart, of Sugar Grove, who was born in 1820. They had 11 children, one died in infancy; David L., enlisted in Company D, with the PA Vols, in November 1861, and was killed @ the battle of Antietam in 1862, aged 22 years, now living Alta M., Thomas 5, Julia Ann, Joshua P, Jane, Cyrus F., Robert L., Solomon, Adelbert, and Esther L.
