Arthur B. Covert of Shirleysburg passed away Saturday afternoon, February 26, 1949, at 4:0 o'clock at the County Home where he had been a guest for a number of years.
He was born in Three Springs on September 25, 1877, a son of Nathaniel and Catharine (Stevens) Covert. He never married.
A sister, Mrs. Allison Stake of Saltillo, is his only survivor.
The deceased was a member of the Three Springs Methodist Church. He had perfect attendance at Sunday school for nearly 40 consecutive years.
The funeral was on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock in the Three Springs Methodist Church. The Rev. Lewis Barth officiated and interment was made in the Three Springs Cemetery.
