Mr. Adcock was born in Comanche County and lived in Venus for 20 years.
He worked for the railroad for 30 years.
Mr. Adcock was a former member of the United Transportation Union and was a member of the Church of Christ.
His wife, Ova Adcock, died in 1985.
Survivors: Two sons, Walter Edward Adcock of Venus and Ed D. Lane of Midlothian; two brothers, Leonard Weldon Adcock of Phoenix and Leiland J. Adcock of Chico; two sisters, Betty Marie Graham of San Antonio and Patsy Nell Gregg of Burleson; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
