FORT WORTH - John "Buddy" King, a retired brick mason, died Friday at a Fort Worth hospital. He was 74.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrews Catholic Church, where he was a charter member.

Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Shannon TCU Funeral Chapel.

Mr. King was born in Missouri and had lived in Fort Worth since 1951. He worked for Carruthers Masonry Contractors before his retirement. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Andrews Catholic Church.

Survivors: Wife, Lorraine King of Fort Worth; son, Bill King of Fort Worth; three daughters, Vicki Wilson and Teresa Yosten, both of Fort Worth, and Katherine McDaniel of Columbia Falls, Mont.; two sisters, Helen King of Fort Worth and Glenda O'Kelley of Yuma, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.
