A Poem In Memory Of Lena Jantz Boston,
Whose Ancestors Came To America From Polish Russia

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am in a thousand winds that blow
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.

I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.

I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am the birds that sing
I am in each gentle thing.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there. I did not die.

~ Mary Frye

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with the Rev. Robert Burns, pastor of Amarillo Bible Church, and Bud Jackson, fellow member and longtime Sunday school teacher, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Musically talented, Lena Boston played acoustic and steel guitars, drums and piano, and had been giving free piano lessons to deserving students as recently as August 2003. In recent years, Mrs. Boston had also sometimes been a drummer in the senior band.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Marie Gatlin and husband, Wayne, of Amarillo; two sons, Raymond L. Boston and wife, Starr, of Amarillo and Jason L. Boston of Grandview, Mo.; a sister, Caroline Bernice Jantzen of Enid, Okla.; two grandsons, Jantz E. Boston of Grandview and Michael R.
