Obituary: Chattanooga Times, June 21, 1970

Mrs. Jessie Mae Springer Eaker, age 78, of Rt. 4, Ringgold, Ga. died Friday at the residence. She was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Raymond E. Eaker of Rossville, Ga., and Charles H. Eaker of Ringgold; three daughters, Mrs. Velma Leonard, Mrs. Geneva Pierce, both of Ringgold, and Mrs. Edna Nuckolls of Chattanooga; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the New Liberty Baptist Church with Revs. James Langston, Roscoe Davis and Bud Boss officiating. Interment will be in New Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Huey Young, Obed Jackson, Odell Jackson, Edward Jackson, E.A. B aka Jr. and Millard Holsomback. Honorary pallbearers will be L.D. Bowling, Earl Prescott, Meredith Foster, Marce Holsomback, Edward Foster and Carl Pollard. The body wlll be at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, west chapel until time for the service when it will be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes before the service.
