LOVINGTON -- Alma Plank, 87, of Lovington died at 4:25 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 25, 2008) at her residence. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Sunday at the Otto Center in Arthur with Bishop Howard Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in Arthur. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Otto Center. She was born Dec. 18, 1921, in Arthur, a daughter of Solomon D. and Maryan Stutzman Beachy. She married Ezra Plank in 1942; he survives. Also surviving are five sons, Elmer Plank and Howard Plank, both of Arthur, Elvin Plank of Indianapolis, Ind., Wilmer Plank of Tuscola and Reuben Plank of Lovington; two daughters, Catherine Plank of Lovington and Ruth Miller of Goshen, Ind.; one brother, Elmer Beachy of Sarasota, Fla.; three sisters, Edna Plank of Charlotte, Mich., Barbara Otto and Clara Yoder, both of Arthur; 30 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter and one grandson. Mrs. Plank was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
