Brileya, Frances Marion
Vergennes, Vt. -- Frances Marion Brileya, 88, passed away on Thursday, July
21, 2005, at the Vergennes Residential Care Home.

She was born in Saint Albans, Vt., on June 24, 1917, the daughter of Alfred
and Ethel ( Monty) LaBounty.

They moved to upstate New York, where she met and married her husband Andrew
on Dec. 1, 1935. The couple then moved to Bridport, where they worked on a
farm.

She was a member of Saint Mary's Church in Middlebury. Frances loved playing
bingo and cards, and also enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by two sons, Robert and his wife, Joan, of Salem, and Andrew
of Ware, Mass., three daughters, Mary Bishop and her husband, Lawrence, of
Shoreham, Shirley Norton and her husband, Larry, of South Glens Falls, and
Linda Benedict and her companion, TJ Armstrong, of Champlain, N.Y., two
sisters, Victoria Dyer of Plattsburgh, and Joyce Bushey and her husband,
Alton, also of Plattsburgh, seven grandchildren, and 10n great-grandchildren,
and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special friend of many
years, Louise Forgues of Cornwall.

Frances was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, two brothers, Pascal and
Clayton LaBounty, two sisters, Gladys Pafford and Isabelle Robare, and a
stepgrandson, Jasper Norton.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 25, at 10 a.m. at Lake View
Cemetery in Shoreham. Father Justin Baker will officiate.

There are no calling hours.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sanderson Funeral Home in Middlebury.
