Evelyn Ruby (Baer) Anable age 93 passed away peacefully Saturday, January 31 2009. She was born April 23, 1915 in Ferndale, WA to Rudy A. and Elsie E. (Both) Baer. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Anable and her daughter Linda Anable and sisters Doris Robinson and Marguerite Lee and 2 grandchildren. She grew up on the family farm in Ferndale which is now part of I-5. Her whole life continued to live the life she learned on the farm "waste not want not". We were amazed that she was still moving her lawn with a push mower until the age of 87. When asked how she managed to continue to do it she replied "oh it usually took a few days". Evelyn and Clyde were married October of 1958 in Bellingham. She was blessed with seven step-daughters who were blessed to have a truly wonderful step-mother. She is survived by daughters; Claire Anable, Gerry Thompson (Lowell), Judy Capp (Fred), Jane James (Don), Mary Sandstrom (Earngy) and Margaret Thomas. She is also survived by her nephews, Gary, Mike (Sue), Loren and Lee Bensen; 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. One of her biggest joys was the birth of a great great grandson on her 92 birthday. A graveside Inurnment service will be held Friday, February 6, 2009, 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ferndale. Arrangements are under the care of Valley Funeral & Cremation Service, Guide Meridian & King Tut Roads
