He was born April 21, 1938, in Fayetteville, Ark., son of Roscoe E. and Faye E. Duncan Boyd. He married Mary Looper in 1973, and they later divorced.
He graduated from school in Fayetteville in 1958. Mr. Boyd worked in maintenance for UNI, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Evansdale.
Survived by: two sisters, Betty Hollaway and Viola Hefley, both of Evansdale; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: three brothers, Irvin E., Charles W. and Arthur R.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Evansdale, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Public visitation will be held for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo, is assisting the family.
