JACOB R. PADILLA, SR., 34, a resident of Tierra Azul, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011 following a logging accident. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Luis and Senovia Padilla; brother-in-law, Desi Mascareñas; uncle, Billy Don Crouch; maternal grandmother, Deluvina Martinez; maternal grandfather, Ben Lovato. Jacob was in the logging business alongside his father. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friends. He was very compassionate to everyone. Mr. Padilla is survived by his wife, Nicole Padilla; children, Jacob Jr., Alexis, Luis and Matthew Padilla; parents, Robert and Delila Padilla; brothers, Bobby Padilla and Theodore Padilla; sisters, Carol Padilla and husband Rick and Jennelle Jordan and husband William all of Tierra Azul; maternal grandmother, Lucy Lovato of Fairview; mother-in-law, Pauline Tessman and husband Ronald of Phoenix, Arizona; father-in-law, Placido Montoya; God-children, Naomi Martinez and Pablo Mascareñas all of Tierra Azul and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu with burial to follow at Abiquiu Cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers, John Padilla, Daniel Martinez, Larry Padilla, David Jones, Gilbert Martinez, Eric Crouch and Tommy Padilla. The family of Jacob R.
