Mrs. Maude Edick
CALDWELL — Mrs. Maude Edick, 72, of Homedale, a resident of Idaho for 13 years, died Tuesday morning in a Caldwell hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Edick was born July 24, 1886, in Silver Creek, Minn., and was married Oct. 5, 1904, in Fifty Lakes, Minn., to Ora Daniel Edick. They homesteaded at Emily, Minn., and moved to Eldora, Iowa, in 1910, where they farmed. The couple moved to Outing, Minn., in 1923 and operated a resort. They moved to Phoenix, Ariz., in 1941 and came to Homedale in 1945. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1954. Mr. Edick died March 31, 1956.
She is survived by a son, Ernest R. Edick of Homedale; two daughters, Mrs. Margie Hausauer of Homedale and Mrs. Leora Silva of Phoenix; five brothers, Frank A. Andrews of San Diego, Calif., Leland and Archie Andrews, both of Emily, and Wilmer and Lyle Andrews, both of Bovey, Minn.; three sisters, Mrs. Mae Atwater of Emily, Mrs. Florence Richards of Blooming Prairie, Minn., and Mrs. Bernice Wirta of Caldwell, and 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Harold N. Nye will officiate. Interment will be at Canyon Hill.
