Saybrook Vital Records 1635-1850 (Barbour Collection): Obadiah, b. Jan. 8, 1777; m. Temperance Pratt, Jan. 2, 1802.

The History of Middlesex County 1635-1885 states that he was a commissioned officer in the war of 1812.
