Dortha Lee O'Rear Cheatham, age 86, of Garland died Monday, August 11, 2003.
Funeral services were held 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2003 at First Baptist Church in Garland. There was also a 3 p.m. graveside service at Restland Memorial Park on that day.
Born January 9, 1917 in Wellington, Dortha graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1935.
She was retired from Ken Pruitt Buick and a long-time member and volunteer at the First Baptist Church of Garland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Cheatham and two brothers, Wallace O'Rear Jr., and S.A. O'Rear.
Survivors include two sons, Gerry Allday of Alexander, Arkansas and Lee Cheatham of Dallas; a step-daughter, Carolyn Mother of LaQuinta, California; a stepson, Richard Cheatham of Royce City. A brother, William O'Rear and a sister, Margie Uselton, both of Wellington; two other sisters, Marie Hammes of Rowlett and Barbara Replogle of Perryton;
Along with 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
