They had a son John Samuel Moon born about 1862

1875 Missouri, Maries County (15 Sep 1875) - William L. Pinnell was appointed Guardian and Curator of estate and minor heir of Samuel Moon. ["Missouri Pioneers", Maries County, Missouri Abstracts from Will Book A, 1866-1888 & Admr. Bonds, A, 1869-1883. p. 60]
