Mary Ann Grosvenor Peabody was the daughter of David and Mary (Grosvenor) Peabody of Albion, Michigan. David's parents Paul Tenney and Eleanor (Thompson) Peabody were the first settlers of Albion, Michigan. Mary's parents and brother George Grosvenor Peabody are buried in Riverside Cemetery, in Albion (Calhoun County), Michigan, as well as her Grosvernor ancestors there. Mary Ann was an 1871 graduate of Albion College. She was married to William Mason Fitch, son of Methodist clergyman Rev. Andrew Mason Fitch. The couple had one son, Ralph Grosvernor Fitch. Mary's husband William died in the late 1920s following the death of his wife. The couple lived at 11428 Mayfield Rd. SE in Cleveland.
