Evelyn's memorial came with birthplace Breathitt Co. KY, and link to an additional husband Sherman Gillum (1883-1967) in Breathitt County.

8-1-21 update thanks to Mary 47360560 with link to father, year of marriage to Harve Franklin, and the following info:

Her death certificate shows that she was born in Letcher County. Census records show that her parents lived in Letcher County at least from 1860 until 1907 when Russell passed away, and all her siblings with verified birth dates show birth in Letcher County. The 1870 census shows her name as Margaret, but I have never seen another record showing anything but Eveline, Evy, Evelyn, etc.

Date of death on the gravestone appears to be incorrect. Her death certificate completed September 29, 1947, clearly shows she died September 21, 1947.

Also, the Eveline Combs who married Sherman Gillum was born circa 1886 and was the daughter of Wesley and Sylvania Combs (in Perry Co. KY, ks).
