Per Dayton Daily News obit: Everett Levi Thomas, age 88 of Clayton, passed away at his residence on Saturday, September 4, 1999. Everett was a longtime area farmer in the Randolph Township/Clayton area. He was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Salem District. He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae (Boone) Thomas; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert & Edna Mae Thomas, and Charles & Linda Thomas, all of Clayton; daughters & sons-in-law, Virginia & Harold Harshman of St. Paris, OH; Marie Sides of State Line, PA and Carol & Bill Frantz of North Manchester, IN; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents J. William & Mazy Edna (Hoke) Thomas; daughter, Betty Carolyn Thomas; son-in-law Keith Sides; and a sister, Esther Metzger. A Prayer Service will be held at 9:15 Tuesday, September 7 at the funeral home with funeral services to follow at 10:00 AM at the Salem Old German Baptist Brethren Church, corner of Barnes and Sweet Potato Ridge Road, with the Home Brethren officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday form 2-4 and 5-8 PM at the Kindred Funeral Home, 400 Union Blvd., Englewood. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Englewood. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
