David H. Collingwood, 81, of Cherry Lane, Franklin, passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2011.

Born in Bullion, Clinton Twp. On June 10, 1930, David was the son of the late Harry Earl and Myrtle Grace Wagner Collingwood. He was married to the former Judith A. Smith on August 26, 1954, and she survives.

Mr. Collingwood was retired from Joy Manufacturing where he had worked as a machinist for many years. He was a United States Korean War Veteran having served with the US Marine Corp. from March 13, 1952 until March 12, 1954. During his years of service with the Marines, Mr. Collingwood was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, gardening, photography and wine making. He especially enjoyed and cherished the times he spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Collingwood is survived by his son, Michael Collingwood, of Huntington Beach, California; and his daughters, Laurie Collingwood of Warren, PA, Tami Brock and her husband, Roger, of Oil City, and Karen Newman and her husband, Terry, of Franklin.

He is additionally survived by his seven grandchildren, Jordan Collingwood of Warren, PA, Miranda Collingwood of Honolulu, Hawaii, Brennan Collingwood of Warren, PA, Lucas McFeaters and his wife, Hannah, of Franklin, David McFeaters and his wife, Alisha, of Selinsgrove, and Kyle Collingwood and his wife, Aaryn and Zackary Brock and his wife, Tara Schroeder, all of Oil City; and his eight great-grandchildren, Krishna Callahan, Anthony McFeaters, Elizabeth McFeaters, Aiden Andre, Mirandah McFeaters, Samuel McFeaters, Alora Collingwood and Nora Brock.

Mr. Collingwood is additionally survived by his brother, Barry L. Collingwood of Oil City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Earl Collingwood, Jr.; and his sisters, Harriet Hart and Pauline Hazlett.

Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Friday, November 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home at 8 p.m. following visitation, with Rev. Gary Small, pastor of the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren in Christ Church, officiating. Interment will be in Rockland Cemetery.
