One of the three Thigpen brothers shot by Marshall Thomas Lee Rastus "Ras" (aka Erastus E.) Raffield on December 24, 1910 in Rockledge, Laurens Co., GA.

My daddy was born and raised in Dublin and when we children were growing up, we use to beg him to tell the story about the Thigpen Brothers. He really gave a shot by shot account that made it very intriguing - wish we had gotten it on tape. Claude's parents are Melancthon Joseph "Joe" Thigpen and Martha (McLendon) Thigpen.
