Funeral services for Walter L. Mercer were held at the home of Frank Robinson February 25, 1927. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Devillas Mercer, of Rudolph, OH. He was killed by a train in Buffalo, NY. Surviving are his wife, formerly Marguerite Richard of Bowling Green, father, Devillas Mercer, now of Bowling Green; one brother, Earl Mercer, of Rudolph, OH.; his sisters, Mrs. William Ollendorf and Mrs. F.P.Robinson, both of Bowling Green. His mother Esther Curlis Mercer preceded him to the Great Beyond in 1920. He always attended the Church of Christ at Rudolph. Source:Bowling Green Sentinel-Tribune 02-26-1927 page 1, Column 4.
