Amos F. Abbey a lifelong resident of Thomas Township died Sunday at his home in Shields. He was 50 years old.
Mr. Abbey was born March 20, 1883, in Thomas Township and was married April 18, 1922 to Miss Esther Lynch. He was a veteran of World War serving at Fort Worth, TX. The past 11 years he has been employed as a stationary engineer at Pere Marquette Work Shops. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Church.
Surviving are his widow and two children, Edward and Camilla Abbey; his mother Mrs. Kate Abbey of Detroit; two brothers and three sisters, William Abbey of Flint; Edward Abbey, Mrs. James Michaels, and Mrs. Martha Steiner of Detroit; and Mrs. Jack Crawford of Pontiac.
The funeral will take place at 8:15 a.m. at his home and at 9 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul's Church. Rev. Fr. Francis B. Brogger will officiate and burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery.
