AR. She was daughter of William H. McBride b. 1807 KY, and Jane M. McKaughan b. abt. 1813 Pulaski Co. KY. Mary Susan McBride had ancestors from Ireland and Scotland. Mary Susan gave her grandmother's maiden name for her son's middle name. Her grandmother was Mary Harrelson b. abt. 1780 in VA. A similar ancestral name was Paul Harlson, 1650. Other descendant names include, Harold and Hearld.
