Doris J. Cominsky, 83, of South Elgin, passed away Friday, November 18, 2005 in Tower Hill Health Care Center. She was born April 22, 1922 in Elgin and was the daughter of Alfred and Grace Sommers. She had been a resident of Elgin most of her life.
Surviving her are two daughters, Sandra (Kenneth) Ely of Bartlett, IL, Deborah Blanchard of South Elgin, IL; three sons, Steven (Patsy) Phillips of Huntley, IL, James Phillips of Huntley, IL, John Phillips of Connecticut; ten grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary (Charles) Singleton of Elgin; and one brother, James (Roberta) Sommers of Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard; three sisters, Helen Powers, Mildred Powers and Carolyne Seyller; one brother, Erwin Sommers; and one son in infancy.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. in Bluff City Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Laird Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:00 noon to 12:45 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Tower Hill Health Care Center.
