A.B. Conaway
A.B. Conaway, 92, died today at Azaelialand Nursing Home after a short
illness. The Effingham County native lived in Savannah for many years and was a
member of St Paul Lutheran Church. He was a member of Solomons Lodge 1,
York Rite Bodies and Alee Temple Shrine and was a retired employee of Central of Georgia Railroad.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Goldie Conaway of Tybee Island; a son, Arnold
B. Conaway Jr. of Savannah; two sisters, Mrs. Corine Boatright and Mrs. Florence Fender, both of Savannah; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service: 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Bonaventure Cemetery.
Fox and Weeks Funeral Home, Hodgson Chapel.
Remembrances: Crippled Children's Fund of Alee Temple.
