In 1946, the slender, sultry teenager became the very first catalogued model for pioneering photographer Bob Mizer's Athletic Model Guild (AMG), which had been established one year earlier and remains the oldest continually operating company in all-male adult entertainment. Dorlac's wife of more than thirty years was by his side when he died; the COD was apparently heart failure. He had no idea of his iconic status until relatively late in life. In 2009, he gave a rare on-camera interview to the AMG archivists. The still-handsome Forrester playfully flexed his biceps to recreate several of his famous poses.
