Son of Emery Small and Deborah S. Wilson.
Emerson made Master Mason on January 17, 1888 and was the Master of Narraguagus Lodge No. 88 from 1892 until 1893. He was elected to the State Legislature as a Republican in 1898. In 1900, he was elected Senator from the Western Section of Washington County and re-elected in 1902.

Former Senator from Washington County Died at this home in Cherryfield on Monday
Former Senator E. K. Wilson died at his home in Cherryfield at 4:30 o'clock Monday morning as the result of a second shock of paralysis which he suffered Monday afternoon, the first having occurred about two years ago. His age was 53 years, 12 days. He had been prominent for many years in state, county, and town politics.
Emerson K. Wilson was one of the best known members of the Senate in 1903. He
was born in Steuben but for many years had lived in Cherryfield where he carried on a successful box factory. He served three terms in the Senate, holding several important committee places.
Mr. Wilson is survived by an aged father Emery S. Wilson, two brothers A.J. and J.A., who are prominently connected with the Hall Signal Co. of N.Y.; two sisters Mrs. Charles A. Bartlett and Mrs. Mary Berry of Westfield, NJ; six children, two sons and four daughters. The eldest son, Emery, is connected with his uncles in New York.
The funeral services will be conducted at his late home Wednesday afternoon.
