Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Vidor Memorial Funeral home chapel for George Cleveland Allen, 50, of 1170 Archie street, who died Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. in Baptist hospital, Beaumont, after an illness. The Rev. Ernest Young, pastor of Victory Baptist church, will officiate, and burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont. Mr. Allen was an employee of the Holland Advertising company in Beaumont. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Allen; a son, Larry Allen of Vidor; three daughters, Mrs. Linda Boyett and Peggie and Janet Sue Allen, all of Vidor; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Todd of Wilmington, N.C.; six brothers, Gurley Allen of Charlotte, N.C., Douglas, Ed and Bert Allen of Louis, S.C., Otis Allen of Charleston, S.C., and Fred Allen of Richmond, Va., and two grandchildren.
