David William Lutton Sr. 71, of Polson, lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, June 15, 2000, at the Fort Harrison Veterans Hospital at Helena.
He was born on Feb. 18, 1929, in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
David was a Veteran, Servicing in the US Air Force and was Post Commander of the VFW in Polson, Montana.
He was a very accomplished guitar player and loved his work as a auto mechanic till his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his father Howard Lutton; mother Mary Ellen Lindsey; wife Mildred L Chamberlain; brothers Murray, Gene and Richard Lutton; and sisters Peggy Graves and Grace Howard.
Survivors include his son David J Lutton Jr. of Polson; brother Warren Lutton of Bremerton, Wash.; sister Shirley Hutchins of Portland, Ore.; and nine nieces and nephews.
Internment graveside services with military honors were on Monday, June 19, at 10 a.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery in Polson. Arrangements are by the Retz Funeral Home in Helena, and Grogan Funeral Home, Polson.
